Pekudei & Zika Virus

HAVE YOU HAD YOUR DAILY DOSE OF CHUKKIM, EDUTH, & MISHPATIM TODAY!?!

There are in our present world many harmful infectious diseases like the ZIKA VIRUS. I want to compare Dr. Marilyn Parsons’ article about this disease with the spiritual implications found in this parasha:

Dr. Marilyn Parsons is a Professor of Neglected Infectious Diseases and Director of Training and Professional Development at the Center for Infectious Disease Research.

'Waiting until they are on our doorstep is reckless and shortsighted'

The world is faced yet again with an alarming disease for which we are woefully unprepared to combat: the mosquito-borne Zika virus. Just a few years ago, the virus was not present in the Western hemisphere. Today, there are up to 1.3 million estimated cases in Brazil, and cases have been reported in other countries in South America, Central America, and the Caribbean, as well as in the U.S.

Mosquitoes kill more humans every year than any other animal. We know exactly how dangerous they can be, making the frequency with which they catch us off guard all the more disconcerting.

There is no treatment or vaccine for Zika. There is no fast method for diagnosis. We aren’t even certain yet if the tragic effects seen in Brazil—a vast spike in birth defects inhibiting development of the brain—can be attributed to Zika alone. Doctors are rightly suspicious, given the number of mothers infected with Zika, but the necessary research to prove this connection has yet to be completed. El Salvador has recommended women forego pregnancy for the next two years, and Center for Disease Control officials have issued an advisory warning pregnant women against traveling to Brazil.

In This Torah portion there is a treatment for ZIKA & there is a fast method for diagnosis. Understanding the spiritual implications of the Priestly Garments, The proper erection of the Tabernacle will cause the Presence of Yah to fill our temple and sanctify all that is within.

EXODUS 40:34 KJV

THEN THE CLOUD COVERED THE TENT OF MEETING, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 35 AND MOSES WAS NOT ABLE TO ENTER THE TENT OF MEETING BECAUSE THE CLOUD SETTLED ON IT, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 36 Throughout all their journeys, whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out.37 But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out till the day that it was taken up. 38 For the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel throughout all their journeys.

Much love in Yahushua!
